On Saturday September 8th, HRJA member Bob Evans allowed the club to hold a trail ride on his land near Washington County. We had a good turn out with about seventeen Jeeps in attendance. After the drivers  meeting in the field, we were ready to hit the trial.

Led by Bob Evans and Rick West, our first obstacle of the day was right at the trail head. After a little creek crossing, we came to a log that by the time a few people had gone over with their wet tires, was more than a little slick.

Mel crankin up the 3B to make it over the logs!

Once everyone had made it through, we continued on to the trail. There was plenty of fun things to do on the path and even off the beaten path. The club wound up and around a little horse shoe area for a decent hill climb.

Once through that area, we decided to stop and have a bite to eat. We also had our Bi-Monthly meeting during the lunch break. Nominations for the November elections were selected. A reminder to club members. Please be present at the November meeting! It is an important one!

From lunch, it was back on the road! (Well maybe not a road) Making our way back down the hill side, the group had the option of playing in another creek bed. There was a somewhat challenging entrance, so not everyone chose to give it a try.

We wound the day up with an awesome hill climb that got REALLY greasy as each Jeep tried to make its way up to the top! Yours truly rode with Dave Zablocki to get some "action" pictures. They were cheering us on as we attempted to make the slippy climb!

We almost made the bend, but the slick mud was just too much for us. So out came the tow straps and winch.

While at the top, we all stood and cheered as the rest of the group tried to make this hill!

Bob Evens was standing by with the winch if anyone needed it.

This ride was great for all types of Jeeps. From the beginner to the expert, I think that everyone was somewhat challenged this day.

A VERY special thanks to Bob Evans and his Father for allowing the club to have a great day of Jeepin.......Down on the farm.
